Management Information Systems Concentration
The field of management information systems (MIS) encompasses the analysis, design, implementation, and management of information systems. Information systems help to control operations through transaction processing, and also support planning and decision-making activities in all functional areas of an organization. Successful information system professionals need excellent communication skills (verbal and written), technical expertise in computer hardware and software systems, knowledge of the application domain, and the ability to work well with people.

- About Rob: Rob has over 22 years' experience in higher education. His first position was at San Francisco State University in Student Affairs, then as a Paralegal at the University of New Mexico in the area of employment law, then as Associate Director of Transfer Affairs and Articulation at The College of Saint Rose and then Assistant Registrar for Transfer Credit at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York. Robert has a bachelor of arts degree in Cultural Studies with a concentration in Literature from the State University of New York, Empire State College and a masters of education degree in Higher Education Leadership & Administration from The College of Saint Rose. In his free time, Rob is an avid hiker and bike rider and loves hiking in the Sandia Mountains or riding his bicycle down by the Rio Grande.
