Honors

If you anticipate graduating with Scholastic Achievement Honors (for undergraduate students), please read the honors policy. Information about purchasing graduation accessories, diploma frames and tassels can be found at the UNM Bookstores website.

Privacy Flag Waiver

The names of any graduating students who have a privacy flag set on their student record will NOT be printed in the virtual ceremony program or displayed during the ceremony, unless they fill out and submit a Limited Privacy Flag Waiver form.  A picture ID will be required to validate a student’s identity. Due to COVID-19, web conferencing appointments will be set up to conduct a check of identification. Graduating students can contact the Office of the University Secretary at graduation@unm.edu or (505) 277-4664 to make an appointment.

Graduation Speaker Application

Anderson is seeking class speakers for the Spring Convocation ceremony. If you're graduating and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, you're eligible to apply. Summer graduates are eligible to participate in spring or fall convocation.

Applications are due Monday, November 1, 2021.

If you are graduating this semester, you will receive a letter with information about the Anderson Convocation.

Family and friends do not need tickets. Seating is on a first come, first served basis. For more information about ceremony dates, caps, gowns, MBA hoods, invitations, as well as the UNM General Commencement, please go to http://graduation.unm.edu/

Privacy Flag

If you have a PRIVACY FLAG on your records at UNM, your name cannot be printed in the program for graduation unless you contact the Registrar at the campus where you attend to have your privacy flag removed permanently from your academic record or sign a 'Limited Privacy Waiver' in the Office of the University Secretary (please remember to bring a picture ID) in order to release your directory information for commencement purposes only.
