Marketing Concentration

Marketing an organization’s product or services includes planning and executing development, pricing, promotion, and distribution to create customer satisfaction. Students with a concentration in Marketing Management are prepared for a wide variety of careers in product management, marketing research, advertising, retailing, distribution, customer relations, sales and technology development.

Marketing Concentration Checklist

Download the checklist for BBA students that is appropriate for you based on your start semester. Please use this worksheet as a guide to satisfy your graduation requirements. Check off the courses as you complete them to keep track of your progress.

Questions regarding concentration requirements should be discussed with your BBA advisor or with the Marketing Faculty Concentration Advisor.

A marketing concentration requires students take MGMT481, MGMT435 and 3 of the following marketing electives:  MGMT 480, MGMT 482, MGMT 483, MGMT 485, MGMT 486, MGMT 487, MGMT 488, MGMT 489, MGMT 433.  Additional courses may be accepted as marketing electives if pre-approved by the area advisor.

Dual Concentration Program

The areas of Marketing and Operations Management have created a dual concentration program. Students may pursue a dual concentration in Marketing and Operations by taking as few as 21 credit hours including MGMT 433, 434, 435, 481, 486, 488 and one additional Operations elective: 462 or an pre-approved 490.
